Raju is a multi-talented artiste who has molded himself into being one of the most versatile entertainers in Chicago land. His passion for music was so strong since childhood that he developed himself through self learning to become a well-known professional musician & singer in Chicago for the past 20 years. With his God given sense of sur and taal, he has learned to play many instruments like the Flute (Bansuri), Harmonium, Tabla, Dholak, Congos and Bongos by himself.
Although an IT Manager by profession holding Masters degree in Mechanical and Computer Science from Villanova University, Philadelphia; as Singer and Musician he has entertained at Temples, Organization Events, Weddings, Receptions, Parties, Anniversaries, Birthdays all over USA and predominantly in Chicago. Raju has been a pioneer and role model for many musicians and singers that perform today. He has had the distinct pleasure of singing with many Bollywood legendary singers like Kavita Krishnamurthy and Bappi Lahiri. He has performed in more than 600 shows all across the USA. He has entertained folks on Masti Cruise and Maharaja Cruises to Bahamas and Alaska with his foot tapping melodious dance numbers.
Known to many as Kishore Kumar of Chicago, he is a versatile singer and is well known for old and new melodious listening numbers, foot tapping dance numbers and bhangra songs. His programs take you thru memory lane with popular hits from the 1960’s to 2020’s.

Raju was the first to introduce Karaoke singing in Chicago in 1990’s when no one knew what Karaoke was. He was instrumental in organizing the Chicago Indian Icon Karaoke Singing Completion in 2013 with support from his team. His knowledge of Karaoke provided the expertise the team needed to execute this large competition of over 200 Singers to find the Top 3 in Male and Female Singers.
Today, Raju is giving lessons in Flute and Karaoke Singing as a way to give back to the society. He has developed techniques and methods for fast learning and grasping since he has learned music the hard way; by combining the different elements of Western and Hindustani such Raagas, Thaats, Scales and Chord progressions.
